The Challenge
A major global financial institution was operating a mission-critical reconciliation worksheet that was no longer meeting modern usability and efficiency standards. The challenge was to modernize it into a responsive web application—enhancing usability, streamlining workflows for Product Controllers, and improving the maintainability and scalability of the tool.
Key functional areas included configuring Worksheet Criteria, summarizing financial Book data, analyzing trade-level Details, assigning Break Reasons, and generating Reports for oversight and auditing.
The Solution
We ran two back-to-back challenges to deliver a full-stack modernization. The first focused on UX/UI design, reimagining core functional areas like Worksheet Criteria, Book Summary, Details, Break Reasons, and Reports.
The second challenge implemented the design using Angular 7, creating a fully responsive, component-based frontend powered by JSON data, API-ready and scalable. Together, these efforts produced a modern and maintainable system aligned with the customer’s operational needs.

The Impact
The project transformed a legacy desktop system into a responsive web app optimized for Product Controllers. With improved UX, real-time filtering, and structured data views, it reduced time spent managing discrepancies. Its modern frontend architecture positioned the tool for easier maintenance and aligned with broader digital transformation efforts.
