Claims App Modernization
Designing and Developing a Claims Reporting iOS Application
The Challenge
A top 500 insurance provider wanted to modernize their claims reporting process with a mobile-first experience. They needed a sleek, intuitive iOS app that would allow brokers, customers, and employees to report claims, view their status, and follow up seamlessly.
The challenge was to reimagine a web-based tool into a mobile app, considering unique constraints such as searching claims by policy number and date of loss, and providing a complete yet easy-to-navigate user flow for both registered and unregistered users.
The Solution
We delivered the solution through one design and two development challenges. The design phase created a modern, intuitive user interface covering all core features: reporting a claim, viewing claim status and handler details, following up with documents or messages, and navigating through related resources like products and risk engineering.
The development phases translated the designs into a fully functional hybrid iOS app using Ionic and Angular. Features included lazy loading, reusable components, real-time form validation, and chat integration. Mock servers and test APIs were used to simulate full functionality.
