The Challenge
Telecom networks are becoming increasingly complex due to 5G, cloud-native architectures, and large-scale virtualization. Wipro's TelcoAI360 platform, built to bring AI-driven capabilities to telecom network operations, needed to evolve - while traditional operations models struggled with:
Limited proactive intelligence for fault detection and predictive maintenance
Fragmented tools and siloed insights across network, security, and operations teams
High costs and delayed decisions from manual, rule-based approaches
The need to rapidly identify high-value GenAI and Agentic AI use cases aligned to TelcoAI360
Wipro needed a fast, scalable way to crowdsource enterprise-grade AI ideas - feasible and transformational at scale, before moving into build.
The Solution
Wipro partnered with Topcoder to run the IdeaNxT: AI for Networks Ideathon, a global GenAI and Agentic AI ideation challenge focused on the TelcoAI360 platform. The challenge was built as an open, no-code ideation model to maximize global participation and idea diversity, with clear framing around AI-driven telecom network operations use cases mapped to TelcoAI360. Participants submitted structured entries covering problem statement, AI approach, enterprise architecture, and implementation roadmap.
Topcoder copilots and expert reviewers refined the brief, managed participant queries, and shortlisted submissions, while a joint Wipro review panel evaluated ideas on innovation, enterprise impact, feasibility, and architectural depth. The challenge attracted 25 unique submissions, with 23 fully evaluated entries, culminating in 3 winning concepts with strong transformational potential for TelcoAI360.

The Impact
The Ideathon delivered tangible strategic and innovation outcomes for Wipro. It validated high-impact GenAI and Agentic AI use cases for telecom networks without upfront build cost, and generated enterprise-ready solution concepts with clear architectures and execution roadmaps. By tapping into a global innovation community, Wipro accelerated TelcoAI360 product thinking and prioritized where AI can deliver maximum business value - while establishing a repeatable innovation model for future Telco, Network, and AI-led initiatives.
The winning submissions showcased transformational approaches with strong feasibility, strengthening Wipro's positioning as an AI-first innovation leader in telecom networks.
